Normal Maintenance

I have a 01 SH with 128000 miles on it. I need to do some maintenance and tuning up a little. I know I need to replace the timing belt. WHat else should I look into replacing at this point?

Re: Normal Maintenance

i'd do the waterpump and tensioners aswel as the timing belt.
you should also inspect all fluids and your brakes, replace filters (fuel and air), replace brake, transmission and atts fluids and the obvious replace oil, oil filter and spark plugs.

there's probably more but that's a good start

Re: Normal Maintenance

On top of that,

spark plug wires
cam seal
inspect cv boots
inspect ball joints

Irish pretty much covered everything else I was going to say

tube seals should be fine. Just when you pull them out take a look at them. They don't absolutely need to be replaced. I'm pretty sure my car still has the originals from the factory and I got 18x,xxx miles.

and don't worry about the valve cover.

Re: Normal Maintenance

one big thing to do dude, since u have an SH and this is important if you wanna keep your ATTS working correctly, since your car has so many miles get your ATTS serviced at your local honda dealer, they still do it i just got mine done, read up about it. they drain the fluid in the actual ATTS unit itself and replace it with a quart of honda automatic transmission fluid, i got my car with 106 on the clock and wasnt sure when the fluid was changed last so i did it it cost me about 140 but it was worth it and i didnt have some dumbass who doesnt know wat hes doing service it. ask them about it because they probably havent done the service in a while the honda dealer i brought it to hadnt done it in 4 years but they printed out a sheet and showed me what they have to do and i checked my resources they werent feeding me a line of ****. so my advice is its a honda bring it to honda

Re: Normal Maintenance

What exactly are the tube seals?

Also, my car has 86k miles on it and I've had to replace three different ball joints in the past year. I had my right rear one replaced last week at Midas and they gave me a print out of what I need to get done at 90k miles. It included changing the ATTS, transmission, and brake fluids as well as a tune up. I believe that was it.

Re: Normal Maintenance

Well that would make sense, I've replaced both of my front ones and one rear, I imagine the other rear one is going to go anytime then. The rear ones are not cheap, you can't just replace the ball joint but the entire arm.
