Who's Running 18" Wheels?.....

What size wheel and tire are you running?

Width of wheel and Offset. Also tire sizes.

Found info and I posted in the Stance Forum but want your experiences.

I got 18's on my 99 lude...I'm not sure what size my tires are but i'll look for ya later today and post it up tomorrow. I also have lowering springs on it, but i'm not sure how much it dropped...No rub at all though, they fit really good.

I'm getting DP6 MOTEGI racing wheels with G-force tires with either 215/35/18's or if 225/40/18's fit with my drop then I would be set!

As for right now? Them Khumo 711s are doing good but I spin tires like crazing if I launch.

18" on a 5th gen has been debated on every forum. Basically anyone concerned with performance should NOT run 18" wheels. 17" is hands down the best compromise between looks and performance, 16" is the best size for a car that you plan to track or autocross.

ya but 18"s look so nice..lol.... but its true it really depends on what u want to set up ur lude for.. because im going through the same thing right now.. its between 17s or 18s... but i think i would still be able to do cornering on the streets with 18"s on... but we will see

They don't make that wheel with a high enough offset. You need at least +45mm. +48 is ideal.

i have 18x7.5 rims, 215/40 tires, i rub when making quick turns & u-turns sometimes, but i think it's due to my "soft" riding Eibach prokits springs and stock shocks. i need to upgrade to koni yellows/h&r springs, i heard thats a good combo. anyone out there running that combo?

i have 18's just droped the car on Tein SS coilvers and shocks the rear is way too low i cant put my finger between the tire and the wheel well in the back but i just need to take off the tires and raise up the coilovers to fix that so the rubbing stops, front is low and does not rub very often, IMO get 17inch rims if your in the market i got mine for a deal so thats why i roll with the 18's

im keeping my stock rims for track days or whatever.

I have 18''x7.5'' volks w/ 215/40 hankook tires, ingalls f&r camber kit, ST f&r anti sway bars, JIC magic coilovers, dc sports f&r upper strut tower braces and lower tie bar, and a Energy suspension urethane bushing kit.
The car handles like a champ.

I have 18" x 7.5" wheels with 225/40/ZR18 tires, no drop, and rubs a little in the back when I go around fast turns. But I love them and get tons of compliments.

I bet your speedo is jacked! That's like 4% overall diameter difference from stock.

I'm almost certian that my AEM ems covers that. I didn't put it in so I'm not 100% sure. Either way I drive like grandma because I have too much loot tied up in my ride.

18inch wheels

I have a 98 with 18 inch motegi rojas and 225x40x18 michelins. The rears rub at high speed bumps. 17s would be better.

I have 17inch volks with 45 profile tires now (stupid TE's bent at 40's so I went up) with a 1.3" drop and I dont have any rubbing problems. I wouldn't suggest getting 18"'s but reglardless make sure you get the right offset otherwise regardless it may rub.

moral of the story. wheels size doesn't matter as much as having a Good suspension setup. period.
