Re: guage pods

thats not a bad deal, but i have been browsing and i have found some pretty damn sweet looking gauges. i am personally thinking about going with a 3-gauge pillar setup with Air/Fuel gauge, Voltage gauge, and either an exhaust temp or oil temp gauge. If i do decide to do a two-gauge setup, im going with air/fuel and voltage....whatever setup i get they will have blue backlights to compliment the rest of the blue at night in my car :)

...what gauges are you thinking about getting?

Re: guage pods

I have a new single pillar pod(from glowshift)and a triple dash pod from a company called lytech or hytech. I cant remember but it is made for 5th gens and they both fit 52mm gauges.

I was sent two triple dash pods, but one needs like a millimeter of sanding before you can fit the gauge in there so i can sell that one also to someone for cheap also.

I have a custom triple gauge pod with autometer colbalt gauges. I don't really like that triple pod off ebay though. Looks cheap to me. I like the A piller though

In a year or less, it'll be a rattle trap I'm willing to bet.

Probably less than that! It just sits on top of the center vent panel instead of being part of it.

I only have pics of it from my integra...I use the same one in my prelude (little bit smaller), but it saved me another 20+ dollars

I'll take pics of it on my lude sometime

Re: guage pods

Yeah, I know, those pictures were taken back in May of 2008. They would vibrate and pop out of the console every month or so. A quick dab of elmers glue took care of it permanently back in the fall,

And I know! What's up with my bumper pole being ridiculously hard to figure out? The bumper is going on this weekend whether I have this pole functional or not.

Re: guage pods

Yeah, but all of my gauges serve a vital purpose and have saved me alot of guesswork when I have the info right in front of me. I think my layout looks a lot more professional than having 4 gauges running up the side of my A-pillar. And you don't really see any useless gauges on mine like voltmeter or fuel pressure or a "clock" haha. I had an accord with 6 gauges and I'll admit that was overkill, especially when it had a basically stock engine and I was running gauges like a pyrometer, oil temp, oil pressure, and so on. Oh well, to each their own!

Re: guage pods

Well, blitz makes an electronic display and all that will be needed is the solenoids to what you want display. Just too much of a light show for me, and you are right...to each his own.

akaprepreludesh: Nice gauge pod man. I wanted to get mine rapped in carbon fiber but was satisfied with the way they turned out.
