Icon2 My lude is unreliable...stall-out problems! HELP ME!

BEFORE I START: I HAVE SEARCHED TONS, so please don't close this thread, i really need help.

I have been doing tons of research on here and other sources trying to identify my problem, and i just cant seem to get it right...

Here's what happens (always has taken place in winter; not necessarily snowing, but cold):

I will be driving down the highway at speeds ranging anywhere from 45-70 and then all of the sudden the Tachometer will just start going CRAZY. it will bounce up and down real fast and stuff. Then when i push on the gas pedal, it feels like i have lost all the power from my engine. It runs all sputtery and bogs down like mad. Then when i come to a stop, the car will sputter like mad and stall out. After it stalls, it won't start again until i let it sit for like 30-60 minutes. After it starts again, it will run like a champ until the next time it happens. It always seems to be random, and its definitely an intermittent problem and the only thing i can identify is common in every instance is that it's cold outside. The car has been warmed up as well when it happens.

From my research on here, some ppl have had similar problems. I read in one thread that something with the map sensor can cause this apparently? Also people said that if it dies and won't start for a while after it gets hot, it could be the main relay. I purchased a new main relay and i'm waiting for that to get delivered, and now i was going to purchase a map sensor from Bustr but he says I probably don't need it, and i DEFINITELY respect his opinion on the matter, because from what i have read on PZ he is very good.

I am now analyzing the possibility of a bad dizzy, and i plan to test this when i get home to my car this weekend.

I know i have some ideas, but i was just wondering if ANYONE can offer me ANY other possibilities from personal experience? This is so frustrating because i have taken it to a shop 4 times for this problem and they cannot figure it out. They have made me replace all sorts of parts that just didn't fix it. Please offer any help you can! I need to get her dependable for my Chicagoland meet on March 21, because its kind of a long drive and i don't want the car to die on the way to the meet, or during it!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

check your ECU EAT fuse, it controls alot of things in the car and can cause alot of problems, it did for me anyways.

i wonder if fuel plays an issue in this at all or if your car is running too lean or too rich. just a guess, the cold weather ****s with the car too, everytime i start mine when its extremely cold my tac bounces up and down with the sound of the motor, i was told alot of hondas do that and even what can replaced for it to stop is not worth it and it might happen anyway.

That was my only guess bro. I personally cannot think of anything else right off the top of my head. Install a wideband (everyone could use one anyway) and keep an eye on your A/F ratio.

Other than that, the only other shiit I could guess is a bad ground somewhere. I cant think of anything that would really make it shut off in the cold only. Like I said my only bet would be a faulty MAP sensor.

the battery is perfectly fine, plus this has been an issue for the past two winters now, so if it were a battery issue, it probably would have happened all throughout the year, since i havent replaced it or anything.
