Re: start up noise

Sounds like something is loose in your engine? It could be your exhaust manifold heat shield?

Give us more to work with here.

Re: start up noise

It's the antilock brake system. It's supposed to do that.

Re: start up noise

well i hope mdtdnb is right lol

quit plausible the buzz could be the breaks and im guessing the click when going down a hill is probably just gears catching or something

more info?
umm its a 97 base auto 4 ss
new tranny at 100xxx curently at 138xxx
belts and pumps and stuff at that time too
overall stock besides for the quiick mods i found here:] thanks
i removed the resonator and cleared all lights of ambers

even more info , passenger side fender and head light got ****** up
so if any one has a cheap fender that would be awesome

See here:

Aside from the clicking, nothing is wrong. Has it always clicked when the ABS does its check?

Re: start up noise

ohh and before i for get i also have a small oil leak i went to honda to get it checked and they said it was my cam plug and vtech solenoid and distributor oring leaking

they also like to think i have a 97 si 1.3 liter WTF

but any who i have all the manuals [thanks to this awesome forum]
and it doesnt seem to hard to do it my self.and for much cheaper lol

they whanted 350 for all that
i consider that a rip off

im planing on getting a golden eagal plug for what 30 bucks
and the orings are below 10
and ill need some engine sealant

for me to do it probably better and with more love

any advice about doing this [as i am no means a mechanic]

Re: start up noise

it only clicks after the check and only if i was parked on a hill
im guessing its just because of the added pressure on the gears to catch
