Honestly, that sounds like nothing I'd ever want to put on my car.

The one line that said it all was "comes with random filter"

Also a JDM type "RS" BOV. Greddy makes RS and if they are giving you a greddy knock off, than its definitely not worth it. Probably all knock off parts and nothing you'd ever want to put on your car.

If you want a turbo, go custom. Or do research on some builds and follow them as guidelines.

**EDIT**
And "Tial Style" wastegate?

Really dude, stay away from that stuff. Its all knock off.

Re: JDM Turbo Kit?

you could get away using some of the parts from the kit like the intercooler, intercooler piping.
You'd still be missing fuel injectors, and a fuel pump plus engine management.

The blow off valve would probably be fine for moderate levels of boost. But would most likely need to be adjusted to work properly

The oil line and the fittings they'll probably send will mess up the threads in the block when you go to screw it in. Unless you buy an adapter of some sort.

The turbo will be the luck of the draw, it'll either work fine, or dismantle itself while driving.

The wastegate will probably be fine, but it is the same as the turbo, the luck of the draw...

Some ppl are totally against buying knock off parts for obvious reasons... but some ppl have had success going with the knock off garbage. To each their own.

Re: JDM Turbo Kit?

It all depends on how much you want to boost. If you're just wanting to boost 5-6 or maybe even 7 pounds you can do that safely with your stock internals. You need to use the search feature though because there are plenty of threads on here talking about turbos and superchargers. Google is always a good tool too.

^Almost Identical to what I was going to type. Everything there is what I was going to tell you.

http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=783372
http://preludezone.com/showthread.php?t=3880

Read those 2 first, and go from there. There is ALOT that goes into turbo'ing a motor. I would like to someday turbo mine, but there is so much information out there it will take you months just to understand it all.

Turbo is not a overnight job. It takes a lot of research and money to turbo a car properly. Do some research. Search high and low. Search Honda-Tech, here on PZ, PP, PO, CB7tuner, everywhere. Get as much information as possible before you decide to do anything.

**EDIT**
And doing a compression and leakdown test will tell you if your motor is able to handle boost. You should have consecutive 220psi readings in each cylinder.

Re: JDM Turbo Kit?

200 to 220 psi is recommended for compression ratios of 11:1 or higher.

180 to 200 is recommended for compression ratios of 10:1 to 11:1.

160 to 180 is recommended for compression ratios of 9:1 to 10:1.

It all depends on the compression ratio you're running. If you're running stock internals and do a leakdown test, don't fret if you don't see 220, stick with the numbers I posted. Leakdown numbers correlate with a specific compression ratio, that's something not too many people will know about.

Re: JDM Turbo Kit?

I agree with ^^ when he put xenocrons website up there. The Hondata S300 on my build came from him and he was extremely professional and had excellent communication skills. I would recommend him out of any other seller of Hondata.

Re: JDM Turbo Kit?

BAHAHA 900 bucks for a turbo kit is ridiculous, not to mention its the ever so famous trend of jdm, which should have added like 2million dollars to it

Saw this same thing on ebay a while back...

The intercooler/piping looks decent, but other than that i'd stay away

Re: JDM Turbo Kit?

Again, thanks for the input. And I actually did do a little spelunking through the FI thread here on PZ before I came back to see all your posts. Sorry to re-ask old questions. Thanks for the info!
