Too much to buy! Need help

Hi everyone. I have a 99 base 5sp with no mods and 119,000 miles. I need to know if I have all the parts I need for a strut/spring, clutch/flywheel installation and tune up. My clutch is dead so I need to get these parts asap because I am going to pay someone to put it all in at the same time. Please help. I will divide my lists into:
1.Parts that I have.
2.Parts that I am going to order.
3.Parts that I am unsure about buying because I am running out of money and am wondering if I really need new ones or if I can just use the existing ones.

1.Parts that I have:
-4 kyb agx struts
-4 eibach sport springs (1.3 in drop all around)

2.Parts that I am going to order:
-Exedy Stage 1 Clutch kit
-8.5 lb Fidanza Flywheel
-Rear Main Seal
the following parts are for the strut/spring installation:
-KYB Front Mount kit (SM5058)
-KYB Front lower outer control arm bushing (SM5207)
-KYB Rear Mount Kit (SM5059)
The following are parts for the tune up:
-set of 4 - NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs
-NGK Blue Wire Set
-OEM Replacement Distributor Cap
-OEM Replacement Distributor Rotor

3.Parts that I am unsure about buying because I am running out of money and am wondering if I really need new ones or if I can just use the existing ones:
The following parts are for the strut spring installation:
-KYB Front Upper Spring Seat insulator (SM5486)
-KYB Rear Upper spring seat insulator (SM5360)
-bump stops

Re: Too much to buy! Need help

Thanks ImPorTuNeRdJ. I have been dying for a reply. So should I buy new bump stops or use the stock ones? Do you think the old ones would be too worn out?

Its true that people try to be unique. I guess I'm not.

Re: Too much to buy! Need help

if i were you, id buy new ones, especially if you bought your car used. If the other person went over bumps/pot holes/ anything struts and the car bottoming out doesn't like, there most likely worn and torn a little.

New ones!!!!!

as for the insulators i dont know much about those, btw how much are you getting those spark plugs for?

Re: Too much to buy! Need help

Hi everyone. I really need some opinions here. When you guys did your strut/springs did you buy new upper spring seat insulators? Should I buy new bump stops or just have my mechanic cut the stock ones?

I have searched until my eyes bled. I have learned all of these things from this site so I really appreciate how you all have helped each other. Please help me.

Re: Too much to buy! Need help

I don't get it. Am I being too much of a biatch for doin extensive research or not enough? Are you all sick of hearing the same type of questions? Should I just buy the parts, have the mechanic install it and then complain after the fact. Then I am sure many of you would jump on and say how I should have bought this and that.

This thread has over 80 views and only a couple of you have given any type of help. I have been searching this site for a while, prior to ever officially becoming a member. I did so because I wanted to do the research I needed. Now that I have found all these things and have some questions none of you can offer help.

Maybe I haven't allowed enough time for many of you to post replies. Perhaps I am being an a$$ or maybe I have been drinking too much. ****z. Screw you guys, I'm going home (Eric Cartman voice). No but really, screw you guys and gals! (White Goodman voice).

Oh, and as to the originality question of having the screen name prelude. I am either the least original or most. None of you have it.

ImPorTuNeRdJ: $27.80 - set of 4 - NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs. If that sounds good then hit up importrp.com and ask for Mike. He is pretty coo. If you call and ask for him then I am sure he will hook you up with whatever you need. You should give it a shot.

And yes I understand the irony of talking about originality after quoting someone. So suck my pubes if you don't like me!

Re: Too much to buy! Need help

The spring seat insulators will drastically cut down on noise. Its one of those things that if you dont buy it... you can get by, but will be annoyed to the point of buying them anyways and having to take apart your suspension again to put them in.

Like what was said earlier... bump stops are a must.
I was able to use the stock ones just fine (I have Tokico Illuminas), but I dont see why they couldn't work on KYB's

Since you are running out of money, maybe skip the tune up parts for now and get the other suspension parts you need.

I dont know anything about clutch work so can't help ya there.

the more I think about it, I think i used the stock spring insulators too.
Its kind of one of those try and see if it fits things.. from there its.. can I mod the stock one and make it work or buy the parts you need.

Looking at a picture of the front mount kit... does it come with the insulator already? Kinda looks like it in the pic...

KK enough drunk babble... hope I helped enough till people who know much more chime in
