Icon2 Wanting to do a 5spd swap

Hey guys. Im new to the site. I live in nashville tn(any other luders from tn let me know!) lol. But i've been wondering if I could get some help. Ok, I've had my lude for about a lil bit now. Its pretty much stock and its automatic. I wanna do the 5spd swap tho. I would definitely sell it any buy a 5spd if i could but im still paying on the car =/ anywayz...im hoping somebody could inform me of all the parts I would need to do it. I've asked a local shop and they didn't really help me. Could anybody please help me on ALL the parst I need? Thanks very much and sorry for the long thread.

yeah those are the parts and stuff and if your going to do it yourself its good otherwise taking to a shop you'll cough up more money so i hope your somewhat mechanically inclined.

Yeah. honestly Im not very mechaniucally inclined. I really wish I was. Lol. Im prolly not gonna be able to do the 5spd swap cos I called the local shop and they said they charge $1,500 to do it if I have all the parts. Thats just too much money for me to spend. Do u think if I bought a a/t cooler it would help it out? I think if it could help some I mite just buy that and try to pay off the car as quick as possible, sell it, and buy a 5spd. Im just really worried about the transmission going out one day.

well how many miles does it have??? an a/t cooler will only slow down the process otherwise one day it still will crap out on you. and its a slow process you'll feel it slowly then gone...... not just like one day :crappedout:

if you with the tranny cooler i have one that i used before still good condition.
otherwise good luck with your swap and 1500 that could go for a lip kit, fogs,cf hood/trunk in any of that combo

Well my car has about 107,000 miles on it. I thought that was actually kinda low but I seen a 5th gen the other day on ebay and it only had 105,000 miles on it and its tranny was blown. So i'll prolly end up going with the a/t cooler for now till i pay it off and keep my fingers crossed that the thing dont start going out!! Lol. And yeah. It would be so great to be able to buy all the stuff you mentioned. Maybe i could tho? Hmmmm??

I think that I will end up going with the a/t cooler. Im sure it will help my transmission last longer. How much would u sell it for? And i dont know anything about how to do everything to get the money to you and all that. Lol, so you would have to kinda walk me thru that step. And you said its in good condition rite?? Thanks for everything soto
