Re: Muffler Switch

Her old TiC muffler was loud and she realized it after she installed it. She was looking for an ultra quiet muffler and her initial choice(if i recall correctly) was going with either a stock muffler or the Apexi World Sport muffler...

That Magnaflow seems like the mirror finish, part #14XXX. How do i know? I had that same muffler pictured above on my Lude...that sht was LOUD and overbearing...couldn't hear anything inside the car.

But of course, if you like the attention of a LOUD muffler, by all means, go for it.

Re: Muffler Switch

That muffler does look nice, but prelude13 says it's loud so i'd look into a totally different style muffler that's proven to be quieter, otherwise you're just gonna have the same issues if ya install that magnaflow one

Re: Muffler Switch

surely with a cat and a good resonator (2 if necessary) it would not have to be annoyingly loud... I have a Nopi titanium N1 style muffler and it's not bad.

I think you could make it work if you are willing to do a little extra.

Re: Muffler Switch

When I put my magnaflow exhaust on, it was significantly quieter than my previous Greddy Evo2. The exhaust has a deeper note (despite not running a resonator anymore) and I am impressed by the low rumbling sound now instead of the tin-ny higher pitched exhaust note that the Greddy made.

I looked at this very same muffler, but I concluded in the end that those dual tips would not have enough space to come out of the opening of my WWRS rear lip.

Will you post some pictures of yours now? I'd like to see what it looks like. Here's mine

Re: Muffler Switch

I do not still have the muffler, I let the guy at the shop keep it, it was seriously in bad shape with scrapes and dents all over the underside. The pipe was even more banged up. I'm pretty sure that over the almost 4 years its been on the Prelude that all of the sound deadening material (steel wool?) has eroded out of the canister and resonator.
