considering this lude.

http://tallahassee.craigslist.org/cto/1021270269.html

Still havent talked to the guy much but it looks clean. I like the wheels and its 5sp(obviously...) Only thing is is that it is an SH. Which honestly im ok with becuz I cant really afford to do SERIOUS performance mods. So i figure an SH will get me introduced to the prelude world and later down the line I can find and really mod out a base, but for now I think I would acctually be ok with the SH. and its only a 3 hour drive from where i live =p. So what do you guys think? good choice to be my first lude?

Re: considering this lude.

Is it a nice ass lude? yes
Is it a good ass deal? yes
would it be great as a first lude? yes

Was it probably beat into the ground???? I'd put money on it.

Re: considering this lude.

Check the oil to make sure it's actually been changed.
Make sure the t-ebelt has been changed and assuming the interior is as nice as the exterior, I'd begin bargaining at $4500 cash.

Re: considering this lude.

also, talking about the dipstick, you can usually tell if the oil hasn't been changed on time if the dipstick is stained brown. Just a heads up.

Re: considering this lude.

Ask him wear he had the Clutch done and ask for the paper work. T-belt water pump all the normal car stuff. If he did it him self pay extra special attention to that part of the test drive. Rims, exhaust, painted calibers and clear turns means he in to cars in some way could be a good thing or bad, so try and feel they guy out and ask him all kinds of questions to try and feel him out. From all the cars i bought i have lured just about as mush from the persons and how he acts and talks the the car. PPl that are trying to get ride of a car fast will say yes to about ever thing so ask some off the wall **** and see what he says.

Re: considering this lude.

x2 on asking for the receipt for the clutch job or clutch itself. If he doesn't have the receipt for either then you should assume the clutch is going to go out soon. def check the t belt too.
