In the time you've been waiting for a reply, you might have been able to find it with a search. ;)

Re: NEED AN ANSWER FAST!

i don't know if the same for the 5th gens as the 4th gen, but just grab a bracket from any accord with a manual tranny in it. Why not just get one for the 5th gen?

Re: NEED AN ANSWER FAST!

BAAAH WELL NOW I HAVE PLENTY OF TIME!!!!!! Ok its a 97 sh prlude with ss transmission in it.I have alrdy taken tranny and motor out mounted the 5 speed to engine pulled out ss shifter but need a tranismission mount and braket for the back end.I need to know what year model accord i can get the mount and brakcet off of becuase we dont have any preludes parted out where i live.

*Question One- What Year Modle Accors Can I Get The Bracket and Mount Off Of?

* Question Two- Before the shifter Cables are Hooked up Should the shifter be hitting ebrake as if its going in to reverse gear?

Re: NEED AN ANSWER FAST!

#1 i don't know. Any thing from 91-2000 4 cylinder accords came with an option of an F motor. I would ASSUME any F series motor should have similar mounts to the H series. The only thing that throws me for a loop, is that you have an SH, which I don't know anything about. I do know the ATTS unit that mounts to the SH motor and trans offers trouble in some situations as far as working on the car

#2 Its most likely just because theres no tension holding the cables farther foward and preventing the shifter from going that far back. Can you push it all the way foward too?

And as far as a manual swap.
-5 speed pedal assembly
-clutch master cylinder
-clutch slave cylinder
-clutch lines
-manual trans
-shifter plate/assembly and cables
-manual ECU
-clutch kit
-flywheel and flywheel bolts

I think that just about covers it.... someone add something if i forgot it

I'll answer you again since you don't read

ANY ACCORD that has a 4 cylinder engine MIGHT work.

Re: NEED AN ANSWER FAST!

Was the SH even offered in '97?

And by the way.....
WOW...i f*ckin give up on you.... i tried to tell you that 1991-2000 accords might have what you need. Theres a large number of them that came with 4 cylinder motors in them. Try the DX, LX, or EX models....
You have a 4 cylinder. You NEED a 4 cylinder manual tranny bracket......

now that I've answered you for a THIRD time, I've given you enough help, and still you ask the same goddamn question... so learn to help yourself....
Good luck

Re: NEED AN ANSWER FAST!

Take Shoof's bracket advice and trust me; SH 5th gen Preludes are all 5sp manuals. It might have some cosmetic mods that make it look like a SH but its still a base if its a SS auto.

How about instead of coming into a forum and asking a question then getting upset because no one else will do your researching for you, you get off your lazy ass and do research YOURSELF. The man was just trying to help. http://tinyurl.com/2g9mqh There is a damn link.

Do a search.
This Type SH information was in the 5th gen resource guide: "Differences between Base and SH Models"

The other parts needed for your transmission swap is also in threads if you just search . . .
