Re: How do you get to the license plate light bulb?

the license plate light you have to look up at it and take off the two screws holding the plastic cover on then just pop it out. The trunk and dome you juts have to stick a flat head screw driver and pop the cover off.

Technically he's right, but if you stuck your hand up in there, you don't even have to unscrew anything. Just twist and pull.

Good luck with the 5-0 and blue bulbs back there.

I unscrew'd mine anyways and cleaned the lens... I think my bulb was 2X brighter once I cleaned it... so unscrewing the whole housing isn't too bad of an idea

In NY my money would be getting bulled over to much for what it's worth. Could but them in your parking light and just don't drive with them on. that way ya can have it for shows and pics.

Re: How do you get to the license plate light bulb?

I put red bulbs over my license plate. I love the way it looks and I've been pulled three times with them in and the cop never said anything. But I would go with 6000k HIDs if youre gettin 3000k fogs. I have 8000ks and they're so blue that I don't think it'd look good with the fogs. But definitely keep the amber corners.

Re: How do you get to the license plate light bulb?

Get a pack of normal bulbs and keep them in the glove box. That way if you ever get pulled over just say you didn't know and have the old ones and throw them in right thear. Might get a cool cop and not give ya a ticket.

Re: How do you get to the license plate light bulb?

good idea, i'll make sure to keep the ones that are on it right now. oh and does anyone know how to set up hids so that you have normal lights on low beam and hid low beams when you put the high beams on so technically you have no high beams.

Re: How do you get to the license plate light bulb?

yeah but most of the times the cops are going to be dicks and still give you the ticket if you get pulled over..but its a 50/50 chance, i ran my 12k's for 3-4 months and only got stopped 2 times, i only got a ticket once b/c i told them the car came with them.

Here's a pic of my car with 6000K HID headlights and 3000K HID JDM fogs!!!

8000K is ok I guess in my opinion, but 6000K is a little more settled!!!

Hope to see you around in the NY Meets!!!
