Re: tyre pressure 1999 prelude

i looked but there is nothing to do with tyre pressure, just the model of the car and engine size.

Re: tyre pressure 1999 prelude

check your door panel, and the tire, add them up and divide by 2, you should get around 37-40 psi, don't go over 44psi

Re: tyre pressure 1999 prelude

32 is what dealers will fill them to, most honda's (exceptions being new model ody tourings, and some accessory wheel packages) call for 32.

All tyres are different, always go by what the tyre states

and they all have a max psi rating on them

That's generally max pressure. I tend to run around 34 to 36

Re: tyre pressure 1999 prelude

Tyre pressure is always a good question, because everybody has a different opinion on what to run; and this opinion is almost always different from what the factory says you should run.

When the factory tell you what pressure to run, they are thinking of a number of things in a certain order of priority. With the luxury nature of a Prelude, comfort is likely at the top of the list, with handling a bit lower down.

Many have found that running slightly higher pressure than what the factory reccommend is advantageous, helping the car handle that little bit better; while increasing pressure too much will have the opposite effect.

Re: tyre pressure 1999 prelude

realistically tyre pressure is and should be determined by the climate in which you live. if its cold and wet then u should run a lower psi and if its hot and dry then a higher psi.
