Speaker wire question

I own a 2000 base prelude and recently bought kenwood speakers for both front and back. When I went to put them in I noticed that the fronts (6.5" i got) were a bit too big and the wires to the speakers had 4 wires instead of 2. It is also the same for the back.

My question is does anyone know which wires are for what? And would I have to run new wires if I can not use just the 2 I normally would? Thank you for your help.

Re: Speaker wire question

The extra wires are for the tweeter in the top of the door. If you follow the wires you'll find that two come from the car to door loom, and two go up to th top of the door. Use the two from the loom, though it's a long time since I did mine so I can't tell you what colour they are.

Re: Speaker wire question

You shouldn't need to. Just un-clip the lower clippy things along the bottom was all I had to do initially. It wasn't until I wanted to replace said tweeter that the panel had to come out.
