JDM Type S Intake

Would a JDM type s intake produce more power than say, an Injen cold air intake?

Re: JDM Type S Intake

i looked it up online, and i think the differences may be ruffly 5 horsepower, intakes really dont provide that much, but it does free up a good amount, from the stock filter. When i did my K&N filter i noticed alittle more throttle response, but the big difference came with the exhaust, and by big difference i mean, i could feel 5-10 extra horsepower. But here is a link for the Type S for 169, im thinkin this could be a good price. http://yhst-1408381693991.stores.yah...ysdyairin.html

Re: JDM Type S Intake

I just bought a type S intake off someone who is local for 150, cant wait to put it on, just gotta make sure that the oem intake that is sitting in a box, has the bottom half.

I think this will look much better then the giant chrome pipe under my hood.
The one I bought is actually from that page too.

Those 2 rod looking like things are springs that hook onto itself around that part that looks like it bends (or swivels)

Re: JDM Type S Intake

Simple answer is no.
Either keep your stock intake or get a true CAI.

If you want the bling factor, go for it.

Re: JDM Type S Intake

I think the best bang for your buck is removing your resonator and installing a K&N OEM replacement air filter. It will sound good when you hit it.
