rims for a 5th gen

i own a 5th gen lude thats red and basically stock, except for my stereo, next i am looking for a nice set of rims, my price range is about 1400 NZD which is 800 USD. i was told that gold would suit a red prelude but i am not sure, neither i am sure on the sort of style, i do have these in mind and i think they would look pretty good imo >>> http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-195670815.htm

but i would rather have a set that only me thought was good, and i thought here would be a good place to ask :)

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
josh

the advanti's would look great on your car. I hate gold on any other colored car but white, I think it looks "tacky".

Re: rims for a 5th gen

The easiest thing is to have a look around the picture threads mate. Red/gold always looks good, though I"m a tad biased on that. Red/black also looks great, as evidenced by Rus' example above.

What sort of styles do you like? I haven't seen what's been happening over there in the land of the long white cloud for a while, what sort of rims are everyone putting on there these days?

Re: rims for a 5th gen

x2 ^^^^^^^

i also think red and white look great together especially if you can find white rims w/ some red accents.

but i have to agree w/ Colin. my fav would be the red/gold combo

a lot of people just go chrome, and imo completly rice their car out, but some just have advanti sa15's, konig etc etc

yeah i also like the gold/red combo, think it would look real nice.

as for style, i really would like anything that suited the car well, colours i prefer are white, gold, or black. and i dont mind a polished look either.

^^^^x2

I didn't know they did either...must be an overseas thing. My brother has white rims on his red 5th gen, it looks ok. I would say stick to black or gold (not my fav but many seem to love it).

^^^ It's an SiR thing.

It was just added weight, so they removed it.

Re: rims for a 5th gen

It was more a JDM thing, they don't have sun so no requirement for a sunroof.

Not sure why, but it's very rare to see a JDM Prelude with a sunroof. I'm sure they exist, but I"ve not yet seen pictures of one. More to the point, no Type S or SiR had a sunroof, so maybe it was a choice - fog lights or a sunroof. I dunno?
