A lil Speaker help

While i use todo car audio install i never did one on a bb6 prelude
I have a 99 SH with the premium honda sound
Except the Ft Door speakers do not work
While i tested with a Meter at the speaker and at the deck
i know that wire is cut
I would just run a wire from the deck out but
I have yet to find if they have a crossover box or if the tweet and mid are seperate Or if they run off a small honda amp somewhere in the car
its been a while from my last install on audio

ON a last note
I am looking for Front Bumper and SH front lip
Prev owner too lip off cause he scratched it and threw it away
He also drilled plate on too bumper.. not in pre drilled holes oi

Re: A lil Speaker help

Many people talk about a factory amplifier, but with all the many times I've pulled all my interior apart I've never found it.

There are the two wires that go into the door to power the speakers, they go into the large driver, and a second pair of wires go from the driver to the tweet. There is a crossover of sorts, but it's not in the usual form of what we know as a crossover.

Re: A lil Speaker help

Number 6 in the picture, it mounts in the trunk on the right side, but it's pretty insignificant so no wonder why you passed over it.

Re: A lil Speaker help

The amp that is under the package tray in the back is for the rear speakers only. Meter your speaker. If they are in fact good (3ohms or so) then meter the wires at the head unit to see if you get the same reading. May have a blown speaker or bad outputs from the head unit. Very unlikely the both doors have a cut or broken wire.

Re: A lil Speaker help

OI i really just dont want to run a wire through the side to the door that is never fun!!! and i know the cut problly is in the harness around the stearing colum but i dont want to open alot of wrapped harnesses for if i remember the speakers have two junctions inside and one in the door blah

but thanks for settling the rear amped i was pretty sure it was just rears for the better bass response
