power steering pump

can some one tell me where my power steering pump is or take a pic of theres cause i think mines is leaking but not sure if its the power steering pump. i drive a 5th gen.

if you take the pump itself apart there are gaskets but not if you just unbolt it from the engine

so if i was to change the gaskets inside cause it stop it from leaking or do i have to change the whole pump

me eaither and mine was leaking like a bitch. instead of messing with it i jsut took the whole thing off and conected the hoses. it works awesome jsut like having powersteering pump, when i drive but when im stoped its alittle tough but not bad.

yea that would probably stop it from leaking.....although i'd go for a replacement pump

you should replace the pump. when they break down and start to leak, the fluid gets contaminated. That contamination can lead to premature failure of the new pump. Go with a new pump and flush the system.
