Icon5 Need Help Linking Alarm to Central Locking????

Hey I have a 1997 Honda Prelude, it has an aftermarket alarm system fitted.

I want to link the alarm to my central locking so when I arm the alarm the doors lock.

At the moment I have to lock the car using the key and then arm the alarm with the remote.

Anyone done this before??

Do you know what type of alarm you have? Does it have a lock/unlock wires? Do you know where the brain of the alarm is located? Do you have experience in mobile electronics?

Re: Need Help Linking Alarm to Central Locking????

First things first, use the wiring diagram of the alarm to locate the wires that lock and unlock on the alarm.

Then theres 2 ways of doing this, one is if you know which colours the wires for the cars locking and unlocking is, or just take out the trip where the lock is and look at the wires, then follow them down to near the fuse box on the drivers side, and on the passenger side you must remove the foot panel, it will be covering a lot of wires there.

But I wouldnt attempt this unless you have
Patience
Electrical Experience.

Re: Need Help Linking Alarm to Central Locking????

First, the wires you need for your 97 should be
Door Lock = Black/White
Door Unlock = Blue/Orange (-)
-- should be found in a 2 Pin Gray Connector Driver's Kick Panel

The trick is to know what Type of trigger system your car uses. Once you have determined this ...
you need a seperate "Channel" on your alarm to trigger this "action."

if any of this seems confusing to you... STOP. Do NOT pass Go,

Take your vehicle to a licensed installer and allow them to PROPERLY install the components required to perform this accessorial function.

i would just pay the 50 bucks to have someone hook it up for you! some alrarms have one wire that does a polar switch to lock unlock when you hit the button,

I just did my 99 SH
Alarm Remote start and Locks Later it may also be a Turbo cool down
