Re: Help! Water in my Tail lights!

there is like 6-8 nuts in the back of the tail that you will have to take off behind the trunk carpeting, then just remove all of the bulbs and it should slide right out. after you take it out let the condensation dry and take some flowable window silicone and run it along the seal of the taillight. let it dry and reinstall. good as new.

Re: Help! Water in my Tail lights!

I've got the same situation, except my moisture keeps coming back.
A guy hit and run on my 2000 prelude, now there's a small crack on my tail light and moisture keeps getting in. I've taken the tail light out and dried it off inside but the moisture keeps coming back.
Any ideas?

If I can't figure it out I would much rather have stock usdm or jdm tail lights, but I can't find them anywhere.

Get new tail lights man. Just so you know there's no different between JDM and OEM tail lights, but definitely get an OEM set, those altezzas break really easily.

Re: Help! Water in my Tail lights!

Yeah I personally hate the altezza's anyway, but the only oem tail lights i've found were http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...3A1|240%3A1318
Is that gonna be the price range i'm looking at? (like $205 after shipping)

Re: Help! Water in my Tail lights!

Take them apart, and paint them like this guy did.
Ruby Red LED's- first ever?? (pics)

Hopefully it will turn out as nice as his.

Be sure to dry them off before painting. And when you are done, seal that crack up with some silicone from the inside. Or do it from the outside and then sand down so it blends in.

Re: Help! Water in my Tail lights!

get a hair dryer
find the crack
sit there for sometime aiming at it and it should hurry the drying process by a few days :D

Re: Help! Water in my Tail lights!

Good news, I found a guy in my area with oem tail lights for $100. Not a bad price I think.
I'm still going to have the altezza's just laying around so I might just try this -Ruby Red LED's- first ever?? (pics) just to see how it looks.
