Are you running the H22 or the F22 ECU?

he said he is using the h22 ECU. Which came in his 97 stock. He just converted the f22 trans harnesses to h22.

Re: 97 prelude not reving past 3500 rpm

It wouldn't really matter anyway, there's no rev limiting for any reason on either one of those ECUs anyway, right? Not for that low RPM anyway..

Re: 97 prelude not reving past 3500 rpm

Still watching the thread here, I wanted to also know what codes he or she is getting.

Also be sure everything was hooked back up, motor swapping is famous for forgetting or not seeing everything was hooked back up.

Plus too I know nothing about the F22. So everything on the H22 (OBDII) components fits the F22?

Re: 97 prelude not reving past 3500 rpm

It's a pretty easy swap, but if you miss something in the beginning you're going to be throwing codes for like, the rest of your life.

Start checking.. :/

Yeah I remember having to swap my 90 B21A1 w/ another B21A1 (blown motor) I remember lifting the engine and it was hanging up and not coming out, well I walked around to see the back side of the motor and I saw the O2 sensor wires all stretched out and broken half in two. Yeah so I know about missing something.

Re: 97 prelude not reving past 3500 rpm

you should check engine oil level if its too low that would be the problem
