Re: i need some help with moding a head

AEM, SKUNK 2,D.C sports,Megan Racing,INJEN,ARP just a few...There are so many, i personally am going to go with skunk 2 on everything I can. But different companies make things differently, so it pays to do your homework and find out what part is made to reach the type of performance you are looking for. jus my 2 cents which isnt worth much =P

Word. But if you just bent valves, get new valves, valvesprings, and retainers. Personally I would go with Skunk2 or Crower.

Re: i need some help with moding a head

stock valves FTW. I would really reccomend you take it to a shop. You could have easily messed up the valve guides or something else pretty bad too.

Valvetrain... stock, Supertech or Ferrera. <-- quality parts

camshafts: Skunk2, JUN, Crower are your common camshafts used.

I guess the question is are you just trying to fix it, or upgrade as well?

Here is an idea change you timing belt before it breaks, just kidding

Yeah I am buying parts now to do a NA build. I havn't got to the head yet but I will post once I find out which route I am going. Right now I am studying up on Type S pistons and how to prepare the block like honning etc.

But seriously if you did throw a timing belt and bent the exhaust valves. I would take it to a shop cause you will want them to mill/ shave the head, also look for more damage other than bent valves, since your there get them to replace seals.

Seals probably wouldn't be a bad idea either, and you might not even have to get the head milled.
