base vs. sh vs. 4ws models

ive been goin through as many posts as i can to determine the differences between the sh and base models of the usdm preludes, but i still cant figure out if my BB8 (SiR w/4WS) is more like the base or sh when it comes to buying parts that only have two choices, base or sh model. for example, exhaust...anyone know which its closer to, or completely different?? and while im at it...turbo kits, does it make a big difference which one you have when you're lookin for a kit??? someone is selling this one...

http://www.vecco.com/products.php?sub_cat_id=2

no clue if its good for the 4ws or not...if someone else who has 4ws could help me out...kinda lost...thanks!

Re: base vs. sh vs. 4ws models

If it's not a Type S, then it's more like a base.

Type S is basically an SH, but a better motor, and more options than were even offered stateside. Type S and SiR basically have the same engine, but the tranny's are different. Type S and SH have the ATTS system, everything else doesn't.

But yeah, we didn't get 4WS but a year or 2 with the 4th gens then they quit with them here.

Yeah, stick to stuff for the base model.
Japan has lots of good performance parts there too that we can't even get here so you may want to look into that as well.

Re: base vs. sh vs. 4ws models

Also check out European sites, like Preludeuk (http://preludeuk.forumup.com/login.php?mforum=preludeuk), as over there they got the BB8 4WS chassis.

But E's right, almost all parts for a base will work, as the case is for most parts that they won't go anywhere near the 4WS so it won't matter.
