when you get a check engine light, or you smell something fishy or exhausty, or you notice slugishness at high rpms, or it idols funny, or someone stole it

My cat on my 96 lude went bad a threw a check code, but luckily for me there was a 15 year warrenty on the part because it was made incorrectly or the emissions range for it was so small the cat couldnt keep up with it, basically slugishness in performance should let you know some signs, or smell. I would also look up if you have any warrenties on the car, honda is always keepin them on the sneak sneak.

Yeah before mine clogged up it rattled around in a certain rpm range, had the burnt smell, throw a p0420 code, and started to hurt power pretty bad at times.

LOL :haha:

Holy crap that was funny. Well I think lets see mine is 11 years old, I took my whole exhaust down when I put my header on, and in doing so the CAT hit the ground kinda hard, just enough to knock some stuff loose so I would say I am experiencing the start of a clogged up CAT I seem to have some problem s of surging on take off. Gas mileage problems and also starting to smell a bit more fumes, I've looked for a leak and havn't found any so I guess its the CAT.
