Re: weird noise

Pop the hood and rev the engine, see if you can better describe where the noise is coming from and I'm sure one of the car GURU's will on here to help you out soon enough.

Re: weird noise

/i have the same problem as you do,do you have a hard time starting the car? I just changed the plugs wires and dizzy, rotor and the fuel filter. It might have something to do with the cold. Its a honda and hondas dont like the adjust to the cold.

Re: weird noise

mine does this too every time it starts to get cold for the past 3 years now. i don't know about this time, as i'm 5k miles away from home right now. i'll have to ask the wife. i don't know what it is either. i think its the tranny. i think its the autos more specifically. i don't think its anything serious. i've heard of a few cases of these symptoms in auto trannies by the way. no one has ever reported an actual problem that they found.

Re: weird noise

Dude I would have to drive with you to tell but I think you are having the same problem I am having, since you didn't have it running when it was warmer you wouldn't know. Do you live in a cooler climate in the US? Cause mine started again and it is due to cold weather. Cause now in the mornings it is really cold and the afternoons and evening its a bit warmer. When I leave for work in the morning at 5 am I hear that clunk sound when I let out the clutch to start going if you slow down for a yield sign and go to hit the gas again, again I hear a clunk. I don't hear it while up to speed changing between 2nd all the way to 5th only seems to be happening starting out in first and sometimes hear it switching into 2nd at slower speeds. Now in the evening coming home it doesn't make the sound seems because it is warmer. Now last year I tore up the threads on here trying to find the problem and came up with this.

A member wrote back its your radius rods, so I figured it was just the nature of the beast sort of thing as he did not tell me how to fix it. So this year when it started again I started posting about it as I heard others are experiencing the same kind of noise and tell them about the radius rods and then someone says they can be adjusted and or tightened, so once I get some time to myself again I'll look into that and post up if I get it fixed. I hope this helps.
