Icon5 Clutch Install

Has anyone installed a clutch in their 5th gen? If so how difficult is it? I would be doing it in my driveway if at all possible. don't want to pay 400 dollars to have it done. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Clutch Install

Well it can be done in a driveway, but u'll need jack stands to hold the tranny. It's difficult.

Re: Clutch Install

I've havent done the clutch yet on my 4g (and It'll probably be awhile as I have a stage 1 that is still decently new) and I'm not familiar with honda, but your going to need to be mechanically inclined. I believe there is a DIY on some prelude website. Your going to need quite a few tools, a tranny stand, and some automotive know how.

try google searching. I'd look but I'm roasted right now and dont even wanna type this

Re: Clutch Install

my father and i did it with an engine hoist and a floor jack

it was pretty cool, he took off the front sub frame thingy, and everything else that had to, supported the front motor mount with the floor jack, hoisted the tranny down to the ground on a couple pieces of cardboard, pulled the cardboard out and used man power to move tranny to garage

it was awesome
