Brake upgrade

Hello all, I want to upgrade my brake setup. I have no Idea what to get. I don't want to go over $500 but I'll stop at $600. I tried searching but nothing came up that can help me. I think I heard someone put an S2K brake setup in the lude. I would not mind having that. What do you guys think? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! (Just incase it is for my 01 lude with 18" rims) LOL

hey russ there was a thing that a guy put as a DIY "retrofit" but it really wasnt. I believe that the spoon EK9 pads fit 5g calipers. I'll look for the thread for you real fast. I'm guessing your lookin to do rotors as well as calipers and pads and what have you?

**EDIT**
just found this real fast. And you probably cant beat it for the money.

Re: Brake upgrade

What do you need the upgrade to handle? Hard stops at the circuit all day, or just the occasional run through the twisties?

Re: Brake upgrade

Brash: Well when I was driving to the NJ meet it felt funny when I was braking. I think because my rims are 18" but who knows. I have the Honda pads sitting in my room. I was just thinking that the winter is coming I might as well do a upgrade on my brakes. I pretty much want the stopping power.

Re: Brake upgrade

You could retrofit some Legend, NSX, or even S2K brakes on the front.

Re: Brake upgrade

i just got powerslot slotted and drilled rotors with their pads, i put them on in a couple hours and they have been a huge improvement, they ran me like 250, they look great and they are stanless. The only problem now is that i can feel the brake line bolging when i get on demdangs real hard.

I was loving those pink lights on the cruise!!!

Re: Brake upgrade

brembo or powerslot, slotted rotors, hawk pads. you don't need a big break kit.

I have powerslot rotors on all 4 corners w/ hawk pads. more than adequate stopping power even for the performance of my motor.
