Do you think 8800 is too much for a 2001 type sh. its silver and is very clean with 122000 on it. Thanks let me know.

Hey wzup. If you're going the dealer route, you should be spending no more than around $8,000 if the rides really clean, if you're gonna go the private route, would still be between $8-9,000 range, keep us updated:hat:

Re: Real quick question.

In reality, you wont find the good DSM's (TSI, GSX, Etc) For under 10G. They are almost as popular as the civic hatchback, and are way more powerful out of the box. If your going to finance some, just buy a s2k. Mmmm.

Or even better, pick up a shiitty shell from anywhere (no more than 1000 AT MOST) and just throw 7-8 grand under the hood.

Or even better, Keep the lude you got, and build it

And always buy from a private owner. They know how the cars been kept because THEY did it. I would never buy pre owned from a dealer

I picked up my 1997 with 104k miles with one scratch on the exterior for $7800

I'd say if it looks good, go for it

Re: Real quick question.

I'd have to agree with Smok3y with buying form a private owner the dealer will fill you up on a line of about the car saying its the greatest, then on the way home your throwing a timing belt. I bought my 97 Base for $5000 not quite 2 years ago w/ 144K on it. But the 2nd onwer I bought it from had all the paperwork, even the first owners paperwork this car went to the dealer for everything both owners were women and they both took really good care of this car and it shows.

Re: Real quick question.

Take it from a previous car salesman.

Never buy a car from a dealership. I know all the tricks to make the car look like its never been abused other than a bent/twisted/cracked frame, almost everything else can be covered up.

I know. But i only have soo much, and i need a dependable car. I need to make some payments. But I will make sure i get a good car. And I WILL NOT DO IT if the interest is to high. nor if it is junk.

beat me to it. Obviously these tards dont know their cars

What kind of money are you putting down on the car? If you buy a car from a dealership, buy it from a pre owned only dealership. dont buy a used car from a new car place.

Honestly I'm sure you could get one off of craigslist for the same price with better miles, and you'll have a maintanence history to go along with it.
