Could use the help.

I have an sh with a few simple mods and it has a few problems. At idle it seems to bottom out alot, often stalls. When I get on the gas I can see a good amount of black smoke. I scanned the car and it came up with misfires in cylinder 1,3, and 4 and that the car was running too rich. I also get an 02 sensor code. The car is running very rich and eats up alot of gas. Sometimes when i leave in first, it seems to hesitate. I have yet to do a compression test but am working on it. I changed the plugs and wires and it didnt seem to make any kind of difference. I could use the help if anyones ever dealt with this or heard about someone who has, thanks.

Re: Could use the help.

fix the known problems first (O2 sensor) which could possibly fix the running rich problem, and maybe even the misfiring. who knows.
then get back to us.

Yeah, a bad 02 sensor can royally eff things up. Fix that first.

Re: Could use the help.

change the o2 sensor first, a bad o2 sensor will cause your car to run rich and foul out your plugs, which is prolly why you are bogging so badly on the start. so go and get that sensor put it in and have your codes cleared, and drive around and see how that works out for ya. if your cel comes back on you can just get it checked again.
