Wheel Setup?

So after purchasing my car...not long ago I noticed that the front and rear wheels were not facing the same direction. I'm including a picture to make it somewhat more clear, but my question is whether it is supposed to be like this, or should they be going the same way...just look at the picture if you're confused...

Let me know what you guys think...

Re: Wheel Setup?

its all preference, but mostly everyone prefers the blades "cutting" into the wind, or the way your rear rim is.

with the twisted spoke designs like that, they're supposed to act as fan blades and pulling heat away from the brake rotors, but on our cars its not gonna be that noticeable. but i know one of the AMG cars have twisted spokes and its actually noticeable with the brake cooling.

Re: Wheel Setup?

Gotcha...I tried to look up some pictures of a stock prelude with the same wheels to see how they had them, but I had no luck in finding one. Thanks for the help though...I'll probably play around with them one day and see how I want them to look.

Thanks again!

Re: Wheel Setup?

What Honda did when they built the car was set it up with two left rims and two right rims, so all the spokes can point the same way, ie all swept back (like your rear rim) or all slicing forward (like your front). Clever little buggers, those Japs.

All the factory Honda promotional images show them swept back.

No I'm not, I was quoting an Aussie race driver, he was talking about how the Nissan Bluebirds were going so much quicker than his V8 Ford, despite the fact that this was 1983.

Re: Wheel Setup?

the blades serve a purpose, if they are facing the direction of the blade cutting foward it will cool your brakes
