Front lip and induction kit

Hi guys, I've just bought a prelude today and have just joined on here. Where Can I get a front/back lip from and how many different types are there? Also, which induction kit is the best one to get?

Re: Front lip and induction kit

First off, welcome to PZ!

What type of lip are you looking for b/c there is a pretty good selection out there. Aggressive or subtle? OEM? there are a bunch of threads with tons of pics of different lip kits on this site.

induction: what do you mean "best one" what kind of performance are you looking for?

Re: Front lip and induction kit

Lip - get one made from plastic. Search around for ideas

Intake - keep the stock one, remove the resonator and drop in a K&N filter. Check the Q&A Intakes thread for ideas.

Re: Front lip and induction kit

I must admit, both of you guys have a great front lip on your Preludes! Which ones are they? Where would I find these?

Induction kit, I want something that will give me maximum power and a good roar...Is the K&N going to give me that much power in comparison to an AEM or anotehr brand?

they both have the HONDA OEM Lip Kit. what color is your lude? if it is an EBP or Flamenco Black you can get the entire kit painted and shipped to your door from H and A accessories---->http://www.handaaccessories.com/preext.html

as for your air intake go SEARCH through the threads using the SEARCH feature.

Yes and no. The ones on ebay are usually fiberglass, and they will crack really easily. The ones that 98bb6sh linked are polyurethane and they are durable!!!

also the prices of hondaaccessories.com are very reasonable for the quality you'd be getting.

^ agreed. It may seem a little steep at first, but they'll last through some tough beatings.

Do what Brash said to the stock intake. I don't know if it's in my head or not but after I did it I could feel a difference from stock, and it sounds pretty good too.

Re: Front lip and induction kit

If you do decide that you don't want to stick with the stock intake, as far as I know brand names don't really matter, they all do the same thing. The only difference is you could get a Short Ram Intake (SRI) or a Cold Air Intake (CAI). From what I've heard people say, you get more low end "grunt" with the SRI, and you get more top end power with the CAI. Also with a CAI that sits really close to the ground, especially if your car is lowered, you have to be weary of hydrolock.
