Help plz

Hey guys my radiator is leaking so i purchased the one below. the problem is <u see that 2 GOLD things on the side of drain plug> my old one doesnt have those... can i still use it and just leave it like that or i have to connect them somewhere? i think its ATF cooler hoses that connect to it but when i look in my engine bay i dont see any atf hoses. i have 99 base lude 5speed

my old radiator is Denso <oem one> but without the 2 gold things on the bottom

Re: Help plz

Don't quote me on this, but I believe that you just run a hose from one to the other. I have worked on a few Toyota 4 cylinder engines (the 4A-FE) and all the radiators for those have exactly what is pictured with a hose running between them...I just cannot remember what it's called right now...

Re: Help plz

My new aluminum radiator had those. They were just capped so I left it like that and it is working fine, but yeah I guess you could run a hose between them.

Word.
I encountered this with my 4th gen. If you don't have a way to cap it off, squeeze it shut with some pliers and roll it to make sure it's sealed shut.

it may be a good idea to run a hose from one to the other if they are just capped? what is the quality of the caps? plastic? rubber? do they look like they'll last?

Re: Help plz

Capping them, running a hose, it wont matter. My guess is that if they came with the caps on there - that is what you use. If they blow off or fail - call the company and tell them, they will most likely send out new ones, or else you can just run to a auto parts store and pick some super strength ones for cheap
