h22a4 stroker

i am having trouble finding a crank for my h22a4, found a crower kit online that strokes the motor to 2.49L. just wondering if anybody has experience with this. how much of an increase in HP/torque can I expect? Any constructive comments are appreciated.

Re: h22a4 stroker

Have no idea, sounds like a beast of a N/A application though. I think I have a crank out of a F22 and I have heard it will work in a H22. I am still waiting for the reply in another thread to be sure of it though.

Re: h22a4 stroker

no dyno figs yet, still recovering from the engine build $$$. Mods as follows: BC stroker crank 2.49L, BC billet h-beam rods, CP forged pistons 10.5:1, Custom rings, new oil pump, new water pump, basic headjob(new retainers, 5 angle valve grind), Tri-y SS header, High flow cat, 2.5" SS catback, MSD Coil, MSD Cap, MSD Rotor, MSD 10.2mm Plug wires, Stage 3 Clutch. I basically left the heads alone, ports were already right to the gasket, just a little polishing needed, Honda does a great job from the factory. Raised compression because i feel like it will be an NA car for a long time, but this summer i plan on adding a set of Stage 2 NA Crower cams to the girl. the Torque difference was amazing, this car wants to scream, and with an OBD-I ecu the folks at Crower say this bottom end can handle 10,500 RPM!!! I will post as soon as I get some dyno figures.

Re: h22a4 stroker

the f22 crank will work in a 97 h22a4. it has the same main and rod journal sizes as the h22. however in 98 the mains were increased to 55mm from 50mm. with the f22 crank the C.C's will increase from 2156 to 2259
