Recently wrecked 99 lude

Hi this is my first post into the forum as ive only had my prelude for about 2 weeks. I've already wrecked it, the engine works fine and was wondering if I can get anything out of it now.

Heres a video of how the car looks like now

Re: Recently wrecked 99 lude

damn dude...thats hard too watch...but i think with the way the car is, you would be better off parting out the car for parts like windows, seats etc...but i would definatley keep the engine...you have and H22, so you can do a swap with a civic maybe...

Re: Recently wrecked 99 lude

dang... how did that happen? it looks like you did everything except for flip it... parting it out would probally be the easiest way to get some of your money back out of it

Dude, you can part the car for a pretty nickel.
Thats a very depressing video. Worse than Parish Hiltons sex tape.

Re: Recently wrecked 99 lude

D@mn work for filtering youtube, I'll have to watch that at home, too bad as I am looking for a engine, but yes I would agree keep the engine but I know you can get somewhere around $2000 just for the engine and tranny maybe even more.

Didn't look like it from the video, finally it worked here at work.

Man sorry about loosing your Lude but the good thing is your okay. What happened it looked almost like you got sandwiched and smaked a guard rail or something on the driver's side. Looked like a pretty forceful impact with all the glass shattering like that.

Again good thing you are okay. There are more Ludes not anymore Yous.
Did you want to try and do a 5sp swap or anything like that? Well now you can look for your 5sp. One positive.

You know my brother totalled his 02 RSX typeS he was so depressed at first "I'll never find one as nice and all that". Well two weeks later he found a 04 with 100K less miles and is now paying less for that car than he was his 02with 120K miles, yes his 04 only had 20k on it. It was a theft recovery.

Re: Recently wrecked 99 lude

was speeding a bit on freeway with a friend at around 1am. We were lined up on one lane. The problem was that I didn't see the black car in front of him. The friend changed lanes to left because we were speeding. I was caught off guard when the black car baked so i slammed mine. The wheels locked. My fault for not changing the old tires so i tried to switch lanes, but the tires started to skid left and right. I countersteered once and almost regained control but i lost it at the last second and tried to countersteer again. I went into a 180 degree turn in front of my friend and the black car into the freeway wall on my side. I believe my left fender was hit first then the back was slammed into the wall and slid a couple tens of feet down.

Also, I was wondering should I just post the whole car or just the parts for sale. Im sure they would have to just take the whole car in order to buy the engine. And should where should i post these sales? ebay, craigslist, honda marketplace?

If I were you I would part it all out just sell the engine and say that the person has to come and get it out them selves. Im sure there are lots of people on here who want some of your ludes oem parts

Another good idea is to look for a prelude shell, and just drop your Sh@t in there.

Post up here on the forums call it "my part out"
Where you from I'll get the engine off of you if you own a base, not the SH. Now many miles you got on it?

Man that sucks but you have experienced slamming the wall (NASCAR) style. Seriously textbook front nose drivers side fender 180 spin then countersteer then slam the back end then ride the wall. Still sucks

Yep I'd like the engine as I want to build one for my going FI. I've been looking for a long time.

Yes you are lucky so was my brother in his 02 RSX. CA thats probably a bit too far and shipping would be a monster. I live on the east coast.
