Opinion?

Okay i know i have been posting a lot of posts about body kits and stuff but i've finally narrowed it down to getting either the Duraflex B-2 or the Duraflex Mugen kit and i cant decide. So i'm just lookin for your guys's opinion to see what you all think

Re: Opinion?

I would just go with the OEM lip kit. There isnt that many body kits for cars that dont make them look ricey (depending on your taste) I would for sure go with the lip kit though man, and its cheaper.

Re: Opinion?

Okay you asked Mugen kit, but I would recommend like what was said above , yes more money, but more piece of mind. Plus it looks better although I like the Mugen kit myself but all the bad things I've heard about getting fiberglass to fit and drilling the holes. No thanks go to H&A accessories and buy the OEM front underspolier, side sport skirts, and rear underspolier. Comes to around $700+ without even shipping but I would say they might discount and combine shipping never hurts to ask, another bonus is no cutting direct fit, all hardware included and painted color matched to most all factory colors. Although the side skirts now they only have the Electron Blue in their inventory. So you'll have some minor things to do with the sides, lightly scuff the paint and re spray whatever color you have and clearcoat, easy.

Re: Opinion?

lol..man ya'll act like body kits are a bad rash that everyone is afraid to come in contact with. Really they are not that bad..unless you drive like a dumbass.

man and i am tired of hearing the word Ricey..the only way you can say anything is ricey is if you are the owner of the car and you are talking about your own car. other then that nothing is ricey, unless it means different the everything is ricey. Ricey is a word disease that is spread around and miss used so much.

Did you see anywhere in my post saying "RICE" no, I never think I ever say anything about RICE in any of my posts. I am refering to the fiberglass body kits themselves they very seldomly fit right need lots a fabrication just to get them to fit right. (thats why they say have them installed by a professional) You know your warranty is void if you don't have a professional shop do it and you have a problem during installation and it breaks? No holes are drilled no hardware available. Might not even come with installation instructions as they want a professional body shop to do it anyways. So by the time you buy the kit, pay the body shop to fit it, prep it, and paint it, you'll have about $1200 in it. Now price a OEM urethane lip about $750 with shipping direct fit no drilling, all hardware installation instructions sometimes no painting come color matched unless you have painted your car back a non factory color. I have always believed in body kits vs. lip is one's preference. I once wanted to R34 kit but didn't because of the whole fiberglass thing I have already mentioned I like the Mugen kit I was even going to get and still will if I can find the real Mugen kit as it comes much like the OEM urethane lips, already pre drilled, hardware, instructions (well if you can translate japanese to english) direct fit.

So I'm not saying ricey I agree with you its a term used loosely as its a fad.

Look at the title it says " Opinion? " Body kit = Ricey is somebody's opinion

Shrug it off and move on.

Again its an opinion and one I agree with the oem lip does look great as it complements the car's lines very well.

Also it is my opinion that if you have a Prelude that is not stock and pushing some HP, its my opinion a nice body kit like the R34 with certain sides and certain rear looks great for that application as it says more aggressive and I think that is alright.

Re: Opinion?

now a lot of you are saying to get the lip kit...could i trust getting a full lip kit off ebay which would run me about 300 dollars as opposed to H&A which is 700?

Re: Opinion?

You could but i guess it depends on the seller. You'll be a lot happier with the lip as apposed to a body kit.

Just look out for replicas. There's almost always some fiberglass replicas on ebay, but actual oem lip kits tend to be really rare.
