friend just burnt the clutch on my car

Well i bought this car bout two months ago and i was teaching my friend how to drive a stick and he over time completely burnt the clutch. Now my question is should i just get a stock one put back in or should i upgrade. ive seen like stage 1-3 clutch kits. I was just wondering if that would be better for me. My car is completely stock, i would however like more power to it. Thanks in advance.

are you planning on some serious horsepower later on down the road?
thats the question you need to ask yourself.

than a stage 2-3 should meet your goals.

Re: friend just burnt the clutch on my car

Re: friend just burnt the clutch on my car

it won't INCREASE horespower, but it'll free up lost hp due to less rotational mass (if you get a lighter flywheel) if you can comprehend that. there is NO hp/tq to be gained by upgrading your clutch/flywheel, despite what Gran Turismo tells you.

a lighter flywheel will rev up and down faster.
while a heavier duty clutch (less pucks/less springs) will be more of a bitch on your left leg in traffic.

Re: friend just burnt the clutch on my car

stage 1 if your not boosting and there are a million and one brands out there, so look around and do some research.

if you ARE planning on boosting, I've heard a lot of good things about CC (competition clutch)

CC is supposed to be the major clutch supplier for honda pro drag cars, more than all the other manufacts. combined. You have to set your mind on what you want and your goals first. CC isnt cheap, but its supposed to be the #1 honda clutch supplier for high performance hondas. I got a card and a slip of some prices, what the clutches are made out of, and what they fit. leme know.
