Icon5 Flooded Trunk after heavy rain

Hi guys
I have a major problem with the trunk. Everytime it rains the trunk got flooded..Does anyone have the same problem? Is there anyway we can fix that without spending a fortune at the dealership....

Re: Flooded Trunk after heavy rain

do me a favor stick your hand under the back seat. is it wet? let me know and i'll see if i can help you. but if it's only rear truck you should have a gromet under the spare tire you can pull. also a shop vac will be very handy.

Re: Flooded Trunk after heavy rain

Have a friend or someoen get in the trunk with a flash light and the trunk closed, get water and pour it from the top of the rea windsheild down! you will notice a water drip, also take out the interior so you can see where its coming from.

Re: Flooded Trunk after heavy rain

if you can convince a friend to do that, you must drive around with him in the trunk. my old car used to do this a lot. go through and throroghly inspect all of your weather stripping, then like bdizzel said take out the carpet, but take a bucket of water and add some food coloring to it and pour different color water in different places. whatever color water turns up in your trunk, boom, now you know where its comin from. also, does this water turn up when your car is sitting still? or just when youve been driving around? does being on an angle affect it?
