Spark Plugs

I was wondering if anyone knew if the spark plugs from Autozone were any good or if i should just find some online and spend a few more dollars?

Re: Spark Plugs

Go with the NGK Iridium's and upgrade to a 10mm Wire also. you will actually see a nice difference from such a small upgrade. gas mileage and power being most important. just did mine last week and love it. you should be able to get the plugs for under $35 and wires for around $50-$100 depending on brand. NGK would be best for wires as well.

Re: Spark Plugs

i think the ngk wires are about $50 give or take but its a great investment for performance and gas. i was getting about 330 miles before my gas light came on and now i can get close to 350 before it does.

Re: Spark Plugs

Well, if you don't want the NGKs, I would opt for the Denso plugs. I've had them for a while and havent had any troubles. Niiice.

I think we all can get that mpg, if we can keep our foot out of it and stay out of v tec. (But it so fun)

Re: Spark Plugs

yeah man a little O-T but I did an experiment to see how my car would max out on mpg

I filled it 15.9 and lasted about a week with it. My rules were:

Stay out of vtec (obviously)
keep under 3000 rpm
cruise control
stay under 55
hit it in nuetral when stopping at a stop light
lots of little stuff you get the idea.

and I lasted to 450 miles. My light came out at around 420 but I kept going.
Then I felt the car gagging when I was accelerating from a stop around 3200 rpms
then I figured alright now its time to filler up again.

Note that this was an experiment, and i wouldnt do this to my baby more than once.
