Intake Manifold HELP!!!

I drive a 2001 base type prelude. H22a engine. I think thats the stock engine. Anyways, i need a new intake manifold and i know Skunk 2 makes one but if there is a cheaper one out there that will do that same job i would love to know about it. Please let me know if there is as i need on ASAP!!!!

Re: Intake Manifold HELP!!!

you could also try to find a used stock one for sale have it bored out and then add a larger throttle body. save the money from buying the skunk2 and you'll get two upgrades instead. just IMO

do you need one or do you want one?

i would suggest looking into the true value of each modification you buy.

has not been installed yet but yes there will definitely be a power increase. wont' really have a comparison for you for just this mod as i will be doing many things at once. but i'd say definitely do it! it'll run you around the same price for both the throttle body and to have the manifold bored out. so esentially more power for the money.

Re: Intake Manifold HELP!!!

Boring a cylinder is just scraping the inside of it, to remove the material and increase the inner diameter.

Just like, make the hole bigger, and the air flow will be better, because there's more space to take it in.
It's not as easy as I made it sound, though, obviously not the kind of thing you want to do with a screwdriver.

if you plan on purchasing a larger diameter throttle body than you def have to bore out the manifold. it should take a machine shop less than an hour to do this for you. i have a guy by me that's doin mine for under $75 and it's all digital so it'll be honed to perfection. you should try to find a s2000 throtttle body. i got mine dirt cheap from some guy on PreludePower.com for $130.
