Windows Dirty.

I have these like greasy spots on my windows. I've tried different types of glass cleaner, only spray liquid not like foamy stuff. I've tried using tissue paper, printer paper, newspaper. This stuff does not want to come off. Any ideas on how i can get these smudges off. They are on all my windows except where the wiper blades go.

Maybe one of those net covered sponge thingys. They work good for getting bug guts, tree sap and stuff like that off.

Re: Windows Dirty.

Invisible Glass by Stoner and Fine Grade Steel Wool - Followed up by newspaper since the steel wool doesn't soak it up, just spreads it. You will see what I mean if you do it -- just trust me

I use this and have been for about a month - never had my windows cleaner EVER

Re: Windows Dirty.

go to home depot.

There is a gallon jug of this stuff called "Industrial Purple" (NOT PURPLE POWER)

This stuff is fucckin heavy duty. I work on 20 year old grease fryers and stuff like that, and this stuff is worse then gum. It turns it into a liquid its sick.

Just dont breath it in thru your mouth, or nose. It'll burn like hell. cover your mouth always. if it gets on your tongue it'll make your tongue numb. If it gets in your eyes it'll burn for 20-30 mins. This shiit is serious. Wash your hands too if you get it on them.

Btw its only 8 bucks compared to other good degreasers that are like 20 a gallon. This stuff on the side of the bottle says to dilute it, but if its a stubborn stain, just use it straight.

Good Luck.

Re: Windows Dirty.

and by the sounds of it - don't let any of it hit your paint or anything besides your window, that stuff sounds like it would strip the paint and other stuff right off, no worries...

please do not use this stuff on your lude. it can eat away at paint and even ment rubber services real real quick.

use a razor blade and if that does not work Eagle 1 makes a really good FOAM glass cleaner, use this but instead of paper towels use a couple of coffee filters. it may take a few tries and will def take a lot of elbow grease but it should def work. let me know how it goes, good luck and tell your girl to keep her naked cooter off your window. haha

Re: Windows Dirty.

well as long as you dont put the industrial purple on your paint your fine. Put it on a rag and wipe your windows down. and dont use too much. this was a dirty glass thread, not a "how to get dirt off my paint" thread.

Re: Windows Dirty.

Ummm... we know - and the products that we are discussing - such as Invisible Glass - are safe and wont harm the paint if it accidentally gets on there, and are MADE for automotive applications, not a dishwasher in a Restaurant. No one is perfect, your bound to make mistakes, and when it happens it will suck - horribly.

No offense Smokey - but why not stick with something you KNOW is safe and works perfect rather then risking it with something that will do the job beyond the need but there is a high risk of messing stuff up in the process..

Thinner or Wax and grease remover, Same Sh!t basicly. you dont need alot, this also works for cleaning gum, and tar, and the horable black specks from your h22 exhaust. Its the stuff they use right before they paint your car!!
