Painting tha hood to match is a way to go, but if you're not, just minimize exposure to the sun & wax as needed, worked well on my other Honda

a buddy of mine owns an auto body shop. he said you can get a real good polish and wax the hood it should restore a little color but most importantly protect it. CF hoods are real succeptable to fadin in the sun. other than that i'd say paint it or apply a clear coat.

I would try this stuff called Acrylic Werks. I believe the website is www.acrylicwerks.com it does wonders for restoring old faded paint like I used to have and its supposed to work good on CF also.

Yes, wax is key. I hope you have a garage to park under. Keep wax on it and you'll be fine.

You'd be better off to get it clear coated.. The carbon fiber products that come from VIS are just gel-coated which offers no UV protection.. Mine is fading pretty bad too but I'm going to have it sanded and clear coated..

Gel coated? What do you mean exactly? Anyone have the e-mail address for VIS? Their website really sucks.

Well once it is clear coated it will have UV protection unlike how it comes from the factory.. Which is just gelcoated and has 0 protection from the sun.. So as long as you keep the hood waxed after its cleared it should be good to go without doin it over and over..

you'll just have to ask around and see.. make sure it is some place that you trust because if they aren't familiar with carbon fiber they could sand down too far to the weave and mess it up..

As far as I know there isn't anyway to take the headlights out other than dropping the front down..
