Yes the S2K start button can be done. No I don't see the point, because you still need to put your key in the ignition, it becomes a two handed start. Once the novelty wears off you never use it again.

I can find a writeup if you're keen on it.

Like bypass the ignition key? Yeh sure...if you want anybody to be able to just hop in and fire it up.

Remote starts and push button starts are pointless unless the car comes with it, because when it fails on you (not IF, but WHEN) it will take alot of crap down with it, and the chances of finding someone who will work on the car other then the person who installed it, is slim to none, because once they find out it has an aftermarket starting system, they back off immediately...

IMO -- Aftermarket Starting Systems = FAIL

Perfect example, my dad has a n 07 BMW 328i, it has a push to start, but all new Bimmers have a little remote that you have to insert into a slot right next to the push button anyway before you can start it.

My point, Push button starts are a fad, and overall, pointless.

I live in northern WI...and trust me, it is very nice not to have to go outside to start your car when it is 40 below zero weather. Kudos to the remote start.

Why does it seem to me that the engine bay of that car looks so much more "cluttered"...it's like he's got lines EVERYWHERE for some reason...

Also - DENSO Sparkplugs on a Honda = EPIC FAIL!!!! Use what the Manufacture uses, OEM is the only way to go and OEM specifies NGK!!!

There is a writeup on PreludePower that tells you how to install the S2k push start button.. Also tells you how to by-pass the key in the ignition but you wouldn't really wanna do that cause it makes the car a whole hell of a lot easier to steal..

I hate to say it like this, but it doesn't matter what you like, it's what the car likes, and I can promise you that you WILL have issues with the car if the right sparkplugs are not in there.

Remember, I'm going for the technician in school right now, and last year they told us in "Fuels" and "Basic Electrical" that one of the most reasons people will come in is because they bought the "best sparkplugs" out there, but they ended up hurting the vehicle worse then helping it!!!
