well for the time being i have the solo barics, so it thumps really well but i wanna eventually put L7 in and that will make it killer. umm bass well i have no dynamat but it definatly makes me phone go crazy when i shut the trunk and its flexes my roof alittle.

ii need money for the L7 and then it will be thumpin like no other.

Thats exactly what I was going to ask, I guess your calling a tow truck when you get a flat. That capacitor won't lift the car.

Speaker and amp install look nice though. I'm not much on so much bass that it rattles your teeth. I do like good clean rich sound though. I have a mono Alpine I forget which model, its about 400 W or so, but I'm running a single 8" bazooka bass tube which looks like a NEX nitrous bottle. Of course it doesn't look too much like the real deal as the bottle looks huge compared to the real thing, but it takes up alot less room that a huge box and the way I have that thing in there it sounds really good.

I hate losing all that room in the trunk for a huge box plus all that extra weight really sucks.

the jack is still in the car. It is fitted between the spare and the rear folding seat. there is enuf space to fit it there. Also the box is not permanent, so i can take out the spare if need be. yea as far as the weight goes it pretty heavy but i was going to need weight reduction i would just take out the box for the time needed.

Mounting the amp on the back of the seat is the only way to go.. I have mine setup the same way..

I got 2 10" Kicker comps, 300watt Kicker amp, and Polk speakers all around which makes it sound amazing in my car..

L7 is the way to go. My friend had 2 in a 02 explorer (I think 2dr) and it shattered his back window twice, and when he got it replaced with plexiglass it blew the lock apart. they are some sick subs. He had a crazy amp though. If you want enough bass to shake your brain inside your skull, and stop your breath, go with 2x solo baric L7's. It'll do it.

Re: 97 prelude sound system.

Why would he need a new box?

The one he has I'm sure works. you edited your post but it said you didnt like his box ...

why?
