Acura TL Type-S Brakes

Does anyone know if the Acura TL Type-S rotors and calipers would bolt on to the 5th gen? I am just curious more than anything, but I think it would be cool to stay with Honda or Acura performance parts when upgrading.

Firstly I must ask the obvious - wtf is an Acura TL? And what is the upgrade? Does the TL have twin piston calipers?

I know that NSX twin piston front calipers can be done with minimal effort, and that Legend twin piston calipers can be swapped with some effort.

Crazy Colin. You guys don't have TLs over there? The Type S is amazing. The Acura TL...

I'm assuming they're twin piston calipers. I'm sure there are cheaper ways of going about it.

Front end is the same as last gen. of Accord, but rear end is completely different. I think Accord is called TSX in US. But this TSX on the web is completely different. Our new Accord is nothing like your new TSX. Anyway, European Accord has one piston caliper, so if TL has the same thing it's not worth doing, but I am making a guess here.

Ahh, yes, the TL, I remember now. As far as I know, the TL is almost a US exclusive. The TSX is the Accord Euro (the smaller CL9 shape) and the widebody Accord is sold in the US as the Accord. I gotcha now.

The Type S TL has four piston Brembos, no mention of what the base spec is.

I'm guessing it would be a bit like trying to fit STi Brembos onto a standard WRX - worst case scenario you'll need new hub carriers, the bigger rotors, calipers, brake pads, ABS sensors and any other hardware necessary for making the brake fluid lines mate up with the bigger calipers.

Like I said, NSX calipers are a bolt on proposition, same with the 2000 Legend, although the Legend ones need to be mounted upside down, which may or may not be a problem.
