Icon5 dash kit intallation

how do i get the center peice off with out breaking anything so that i can put my dash kit in on my 98 prelude. ive already done the wiring for my stereo but wanted to be extra carefull with me senter dash peice thing when pulling it off my car. please help.

Flat head screwdriver with electric tape on the tip to keep from scratching it, and pry it off from the top. When it gets loose, just pull it off, it's held on b clips that surprisingly don't commonly break. You'll be fine.

^^^exactly. if it is really stubborn and you think the flathead is going to damage the dash surrounding the bezel; get a credit card or something the same size/durability and wedge that between the bezel and dash. Then use the screw driver to carefully pry the bezel loose. the card will distribute the pressure so it doesn't damage your dash. or...just use your hands and pull really hard but evenly. as E said, the clips rarely break.
