Icon11 I need some motor help

I blew my sh motor, theres a huge whole in the block but the head is still good. What do I do my friend has an sh motor which was hydrolocked but he only wants 250 for it do I buy it and rebuild it or do I get a long block ? I'm not to sure about what damage is done to the motor as long as the crankshaft is good than I think I should rebuild but I am having trouble finding pistons its either type s pistons or mahle pistons. What other major things can be wrong with this motor if i do take it. all the spark plugs were taken out before it was cranked to get al the water out so I know there shouldnt be major damage im hoping its just maybe some bent valves. any information or websites where i can order parts from would be really appreciated thanks

There could be plenty wrong with that motor, bent valves, shattered pistons, connecting rods, bearings, end caps for the crank, the crank itself, the cylinder walls could be gouged, or out of clearances now (taper and out of round), warped deck from the hot to cold thing... I dunno it might require machining but if youre down for that its the perfect excuse to bore it out!

Only difference is the ATTS, and I think you may lose that if you put the base model engine into an SH car, but I could be wrong, you could probably just buy the box and all that crap again if you really want it

Block is different enough for it to not be a straight swap. But it's not far from it.
