It all depends...I believe you can throw in whatever you want. It also depends what motor you have. F22 is stock with a p12 or a p14, I think 14 but I can't remember...stock H22 is a p13, or you can go with a p28 or p72.

you can get a p06, p05, pr4, or some others converted to vtec (p28) auto or manual does not matter.

or you can pay out the wazoo for a p28 or a p72 (manual only)

there are some other options, but the OBD1 p05/06 from a 1.5L base auto (92-95 civic only!!) are usually the cheapest... my local shop will convert to p28 and chip for about $125 if you provide the ecu, it's $250 for a chipped ecu from them... then the dyno tune is 400 for NA and 500 for TURBO.

Good luck man.

that's a good route if you can get the p72 at a good price. I think the p72 has to be a manual (can't convert)... I assume his is... and you won't have to pay for vtec being added.

GSR's don't come in auto, so don't worry about it. I got a p05 off ebay a while back for about $15 shipped. I chipped it myself and I'll using it when I turbo my lude shortly.

Wow, I missed out on a couple p05s that went for about $30, $15 is a steal... most of them go $50+
