1st Mod!

Well I've been reading that a 5th Gen glass moon roof fits the 95 that I have so. . . I bought one out of a 98.

Can anyone that's done this this tell me what I'm in for?
I pick it up tomorrow.

its pretty much a direct fit you just have to bend the brackets down just a bit to make it sit flush.

re-drill the holes in the bracket as well. There is a write-up somewhere.

i'm just tryna get the beginners to start thinking logically about what will/will not work or fit on their cars. i mean they didn't really change alot between 92-96, and the sunroof was NOT one of them. so if it works for a 95, i'm just wondering why he thinks it might not work for a 92?

With that writeup you don't keep the cover, that's why I did my own. It up to personal choice but I like the "stock" look with the cover.

Oddly enough, I'm swapping my glass roof to the guy who bough my 4th gen and getting his black roof. This should be fun trying to get the metal roof on the 5th gen...

Just figured that I'd pop in and give you all a little up date:

So far today - I've removed both seats, the center console, head liner & removed the stock moon roof.

I also spent about an hour or so cleaning the carpet and retrieving change from under it as well - to date I'm up about 6 bucks - just from cleaning out the car. Not quite 2 gallons of gas - but it's better than a stick in the eye.

Now I'm taking a break and going to measure up what I need to cut out on the 98 roof and then. . . .maybe I'll even try and put everything back together again yet today!

Glass Roof is in and working!

Now here's the issue - I can't get the rear trim piece to fit (rear cover connected to the upper brake light would be. There are no catch holes for the clips. (Same piece that houses the dome light)

Other than that - it's 2/3rd of the way back together!

Well since I had the interior out I figured that it was time for a good cleaning.
I spent about 4 hours on the carpet and I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. So here's a few pics after it's been scrubbed within a few inches of my arms falling off
