Supercharger or Turbo?

Alright, I have a '95 S, stock everything. I'm looking to build up the engine a bit, well, maybe more than a bit. But which to put in? From other forums, I get this alot: "Turbos are only good if your engine can take it, so you should get a sc". This true? And what are you take on what I should get? Anything is help, thanks

H.O.H.

for a 4th gen. there is no supercharger kit that will fit with out extensive modification. go turbo. oh an since you have the f22, thats a very good motor to boost. they love it. you should have no problem boosting 10lbs. h22's and h23s are a bit more difficult as they don't handle as much.

Wish I could, but the forum has been shut down, I just tried to get to it. But yep, that was his words.

Is it not true?

even tho installing a turbo kit is no walk in the park, it's easier than going supercharger, for the sole reason that they dont make any SC kits for 4th gens.

F22's are also the perfect prelude motors to boost stock. 10psi all day long, mmmmm cant wait

So would this the correct type of turbo kit? I've been looking for a while and I've only been able to find VTEC ones and ones for the H23s, no F22s. Also, would looking through accord motos turbo kits help my search any?

yes that kit will work. if you find a kit for an H23, you can use that one too because the turbo manifold will be the same.

but i'm telling you from personal experience, and also cuz you sound kinda naive about this turbo kit situation, it is NOT something for beginners to do! its about as hard, if not harder than doing an engine swap, because everything bolts together with an engine swap. with a turbo kit, about 50% of the parts fit together nicely. on a scale of 1-10... its a 9.5
and if you can't afford a new engine... you shouldn't even consider turbo'ing.
