I'm thinking about getting a set of rims, that in my opinion look pretty bad ass. I'm not exactly sure as what off set and bolt pattern will work for my 93 prelude SI.

Will this work?

Universal 4 lug pattern......

4th gens are 4x114

as for the offset:

7" Wide Wheels w/ 4th & 5th Gen

Less than +38mm ::: Not Recommended
+38mm to +41mm ::: Not Recommended if you are, or plan to be, lowered. You take the chance of rubbing the outside lip of the wheel well.
+42mm to +44mm ::: This is a grey area if you are lowered, results vary depending on tire and/or drop. You take the chance of rubbing the outside lip of the wheel well.
+45mm to +50mm ::: You shouldn't have any problems. Recommended Offsets for 7" Wide Wheels.
Larger than +51mm ::: Not Recommend. You take the chance of rubbing the inside lining of the wheel well.

"Two", thanks so much for the quick response. I kind of have to make a move soon, or they'll be gone.

As for the off set, you said it wasn't recomended, if I plan on lowering it?

By how much, could I get away with, if I lowered it just to maintain the low profiled look for the wheels? May be with I don't know......205/45/16.

Thanks man,
-Shadow-

if you wanna lower it, you could roll the fenders to get a lil more clearance, but idk how much it'll improve it.
you MIGHT be able to get away with a sport drop, 1-1.5", but dont quote me on that.

are they that rare of rims that these are the only pair you can find?

wow thats a pretty nice rim.

altho (and i dont believe i'm saying this) but i think that flashy of a rim would look better as a 17" rim, not 16.

I really want to go with the 17", but the dude wants an extra $100 for the step up from 16" to 17". Which is around $600 shipped, but I need to take care of my timing belt, and labor, which is going to run me around $350-$400 total.

That's pretty much the whole income tax return.....without the tires.

I'm just trying to be a little conservative, get what I worked for all year long, and pay the bills at the same time. Ya' know?

I love those rims though.

first things first: get the timing belt taken care of before thinking about rims.
you never know what kinda unexpected sh!t you could run into when doing the t-belt, which could suck even more funds from ya.

I'm with ya' man. The T.b is my number one priority, but I needed to let this guy know something about the rims, so he wouldn't sell them underneath me.

I'm planning on buying the wheels, and letting them sit around the house until I get the tires. But that's like I said....the tb is my number one priority.

What good are wheels going to do, if it's in the shop getting a head job?

I'm with ya' bro.

LOL.....Not really sure on the tires. I'm still debating on what size of the rim the 16's or 17's. If I get the 16's, couldn't I just put a lower profile tire on, with say a slight drop, and it would give a similer appeal as the 17's?

I need pics of a 16" wheels vs the 17's on my year of lude. I can't find crap in images on yahoo or google. Any suggestions??

Thanks man.....

Not yet J. I found a guy that works at my bank that has the exact same rims in a 17", with tires. He's wanting to sell his car, and told me that he had to talk to his ol' ladie tonight about selling it. But he said that if he decides to sell his car, he will sell me the rims/tires.....Hopefully for a good price.

I also found out, that they're not really that hard to get. So I found a source just incase he doesn't sell the car.

I checked out the links that "twokex" sent me, and a few of the 4th gens, that had 16's on them, looked pretty sweet. Excuse me...."Sick". lol

from personal experience... i regret getting 17's.
too much of a PITA.

in a perfect world i'd have 16" GT3's, but for now my old 17's will suffice.

shadow29485 is on a distinguished road
I finnaly talked back with the dude, and he said that he is looking for a new ride, and he didn't want me to wait around on him to sell the car.

He wasn't at work today, so I did'nt get to talk to him. But I was thinking about offering him my oem wheels that I have on now, and some cash.

IDK....I might just go ahead and get the 16's. I just thought it may have been a little easer, since he already had the tires.

I'll defanantly post pics though.
